Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN Location: Not specified. This position involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients from newborns to age 21 with complex medical conditions, including respiratory failure, metabolic disorders, and post-surgical care. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a designated Burn, Trauma, and Eye center setting.

Job Details

• Certifications required: RN License, BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Education and experience: No minimum years of experience required; a minimum of 2 years current experience in Pediatric ICU is preferred.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional qualifications: Critical Care Certification, trauma course, EPIC experience preferred.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients with diverse diagnoses such as multiorgan failure, shock, ECMO, and ventricular assist devices, as well as managing continuous infusions and intermittent medications including narcotics, vasopressors, and diuretics.
• Prior employment with Johns Hopkins system must be noted in work history if applicable.
• Candidates must have at least 1 travel assignment experience and are preferred to have completed specialized courses relevant to pediatric critical care.
